Doctor's Assistant: Have you seen a doctor about this yet? What medications are you taking?
Yes many times but only PPI was prescribed.. I took yesterday Advil and Cataflam

This problem is recurring every month during menses

What is the appropriate treatment for your condition?
Many women suffer from theses symptoms which called dysmenorrhea, which is the occurrence of cramps and severe pain in the abdomen and back during the menstrual cycle, and it occurs due to physiological changes in the body that are not well understood. Usually some pain relievers such as ibuprofen 400mg are prescribed twice to 2 times a day to relieve pain, it is also recommended to rest completely and avoid doing any muscular or psychological effort.

Do any tests need to be done?

In fact, this case does not need to do any tests, but if there is a suspecious of other medical issues, it is recommended to visit a specialist doctor to have a medical examination, and it is possible to do a complete blood test to detect the presence of infection, urine analysis to exclude the presence of infections in the urinary tract, in addition to Ultrasound of the pelvis and uterus to rule out any problems.

But the problem is not about the dysmenorrhea.. I experienced dysmenorrhea for years ..but this kind of pain is exactly like gastritis pain ! It's episodic and comes in the second day of menses after eating !

Is epigastric pain defined as dysmenorrhea?
Well, the answer depends on the occurance of pain. If the pain occurs only during your menses, then it can be related to dysmenorrhea. However, if it happens any time without any relation to menses, then it can be related to something else and need further assessment.
