We would like to inform you that working without a contract or work visa approved by the Ministry of Human Resources is considered illegal.

Also, an employer who accepts to employ a worker without an employment contract or work visa is considered to be in violation of Article 11 of the Immigration and Residence Law, which stipulates:

Article 11

If the visa is for a visit, the foreigner is not entitled to work anywhere in the country, whether for wage or without pay, or as an employer.

If the visa is to work for any person or institution, the owner of it is not entitled to work for another person or in another institution except with his or her written consent and the approval of the General Administration of Nationality and Residency on that.

 

Also, the worker who accepts a job on a visit visa is legally convicted and potential penalties under immigration law may reach imprisonment for "not exceeding one month". 

However, the competent authorities may request the application of a higher penalty under the labor law, in which the imprisonment may reach up to 6 months. But if a ban has not been stamped on you until now, you can return and work in the Emirates, but before you travel, you must review the General Administration of Residency and Foreigners' Affairs to confirm your legal status
