Plz wat can I do first time of DEPO injection...

DEPO injection:
This is one of contraceptive methods which is an injection that releases progesterone hormone into your bloodstream to prevent pregnancy.

How it works ?
It steadily releases the hormone progesterone into the bloodstream, which prevents the release of an egg each month (ovulation). Furthermore, It thickens the cervical mucus, which makes it difficult for sperm to move through the cervix up to the uterus (womb).

When it starts to work ?
This in jection can be taken at any time during your menstrual cycle, as long as you're not pregnant. It should be noted that if you have the injection during the first 5 days of your menstrual cycle, you'll be immediately protected against becoming pregnant.

After giving birth:
You can have the injection any time after you have given birth if you're not breastfeeding. If you're breastfeeding, the injection will usually be given after 6 weeks.

Side effects:

• Allergic reaction
• Spotting between period
• Menstrual disturbances
• Osteoporosis

Regaining fertility after depo injection:
Well, your fertility will come back within 3-6 months from your last shot. However, in some cases, it can take longer.
