My 14 years old twin boys have RSV the fever...

Treatment of Fever :
Well, as there are different causes for fever, so the treatment will be according to the cause. So it's recommended to visit the nearest medical center to you for further assessment and management of your condition.
The treatment includes antipyretic such as Paracetamol which can be given either orally or IV depending on the severity of the condition.  In case of bacterial infection, antibiotics such as ampicillin, Sulbactam, Ceftriaxone or erythromycin can be used. Furthermore, it's recommended to apply cold compresses, sleep well, taking rest and drinking plenty of fluids .
 
 
 

Diagnosis of fever :
The diagnosis is made by taking full history and clinical examination of the patient. Running some investigations including blood investigations such as CBC, ESR and CRP, renal function test, liver function test, LDH, urine analysis, urine culture, stool analysis, abdominal ultrasound/X-ray and chest x-ray.
 
 
 
 

Causes of fever :
Any infection can lead to fever such as:
- pneumonia
- bronchiolitis
- sore throat 
- tonsillitis 
- Common cold 
- influenza 
- urinary tract infection 
- gastroenteritis 
- ear infection
