If the case is still in the investigations with the Public Prosecution, you can review the Public Prosecution in order to find out the reason for not issuing a ruling in the case.

Article 337
Whoever willfully causes a permanent disability to another shall be punished with imprisonment for a period not exceeding seven years.
If one of the circumstances set forth in the second paragraph of Article (332) is present, that is considered an aggravating circumstance.
A permanent disability is available if the injury leads to the amputation or separation of an organ, or amputation of part of it, or the loss or deficiency of its benefit, or permanently disabling the function of one of the senses, completely or partially.

Article 338
