How can i get my passport back?

We would like to inform you that you shall obtain the passport first, and if your passport is seized, you shall file a complaint at the police department, as seizing the passport as a guarantee is considered a violation of the law, as the Ministry of Interior in the United Arab Emirates issued a decree confirming that “ The passport is a personal document that the owner must keep and submit it to the official government authorities upon request. No party may withhold a passport except by judicial order and in accordance with the law. Detention of a passport is punishable by a fine of up to 20,000 AED”. Therefore, if the passport is seized, a complaint may be submitted at the police department, and then the person is transferred to the Public Prosecution to be legally punished.
