Please be aware that, according to the data received by us in your inquiry, in the event that the wife was robbed and she left the UAE, a complaint can be submitted before the Public Prosecution or against her in her home country if it is known to you. In the place of residence of the Emirates or in the domicile of the wife, as stipulated in the Federal Penal Procedures Law Article (10) that it is not permissible to file a criminal case in the following crimes except on the basis of a written or oral complaint from the victim or his legal representative:-
1- Theft, fraud, breach of trust, and concealment of items obtained from them, if the victim was a spouse of the offender, or one of his ascendants or descendants, and these things were not judicially or administratively seized or encumbered by a right of another person.
2- Not handing over a minor to someone who has the right to demand it and taking it away from the authority of someone who takes care of it or sponsors it.
3- Refusal to pay the alimony, custody, breast-feeding, or housing charge.
4- Insulting and slandering people.
5- Other crimes stipulated by law.
The complaint shall not be accepted after three months from the day the victim became aware of the crime and its perpetrator, unless the law provides otherwise.
