The UAE Labor Law has confirmed the right of the worker to a weekly rest day
There is no legal text that prevents the employer from changing the worker's weekly rest day.
For this reason, we advise you to continue working, and if the employer refuses to grant the worker another day of rest instead of the day on which you were employed, you can file a complaint with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation.
Here is the text of the UAE Labor Law, related to your inquiry:
(Article 21)
weekly rest
The worker is granted a paid weekly rest of not less than one day, according to what is specified in the work contract or regulation
It is permissible, by a decision of the Council of Ministers, to increase the weekly rest day stipulated in this article.
