Treatmen of diarrhea and fever:
It depends on the cause, so treatment may include conservative management by drinking enough water daily, avoid sweets and you may need antibiotic for bacterial infection as azithromycin 500 mg once daily or flagyl 500 mg three times daily and you can use paracetamol 500 mg to treat fever...etc
Diagnosis of the cause of diarrhea and fever:
You have to visist your doctor for clinical examination and investigations as CBC to detect bacterial infection and stool analysis and stool culture
Causes of diarrhea and fever:
It may be due to:
- Viral infection
- Bacterial infection
- Allergy
- Parasitic infection...etc
What i advise you?
Do not worry, usually diarrhea takes several days to improve and you have to drink good amount of fluid to avoid dehydration.
