Treatment of vaginal inflammation and infection :

The treatment is being decided according to the cause of your symptoms after doing investigations and medical examination and determining the cause and then the diagnosis and treatment are decided by the doctor .
In case of fungal infection the treatment includes systemic and topical antifungal drugs containing Fluconazole or Miconazole.
In case of bacterial infection the treatment includes systemic and topical antibiotics containing Metronidazole and Amoxicillin.

Diagnosis :

The diagnosis is made by taking full history and clinical examination of the patient and doing investigations including blood investigations like CBC inflammation and infection marks ESR and CRP, level of blood glucose, taking sample of vaginal discharge and doing pelvic and abdominal ultrasound .

- thick and abnormal discharge 

- Vaginal bleeding 

- pain during micturation 

- burning micturation 

- Pain during sexual inter course 

- oedema
