We would like to inform you that you shall go to the Immigration and Passport Department and submit an application to modify your residency status. Any foreigner who wants to reside in Qatar shall legally obtain a residence permit from the Director of the Immigration and Passports and Citizenship Department and leave Qatari territory at the end of his residence unless he has previously obtained a license from The Department of Immigration and Passports and Citizenship to extend his residence or to modify its status.

 Article (11):

 An expatriate who has been authorized to enter or reside for a specific purpose or work in a particular entity shall not violate the purpose for which he or she has been licensed. And he must leave the country within ninety days after the end of this purpose or work, or in case of revocation of residence for any reason.
