My company gave me offer letter and working permit...
My company gave me offer letter and working permit then hte owner get my passport to process my employment visa but untill no I'm still having medical and my working permit will be end on 6th of April this year. Then I resignwd because the owner is not processing my employment visa. Now that I'm asking my passport to give it back to me the owner is holding my passport and he said I need to pay for the expenses of the offer letter and working permit. I want to ask is the owner is right and do I need to pay for him?

companies or businessmen shall not keep the passports of the workers as these passports belong to the country which issued it and no one can keep it but the owner. If any employer hold the passport, then the worker can file a complaint against the employer which will result in forcing the employer to return the passport to the worker, imposing a fine, and stop the services by the ministry of human resources and nationality.

Sir can I file a case to the owner of the company for not giving my passport? And do I need to pay him for the expenses of the offer letter and working permit?
