Hello. My 4 years old is born in Norfolk VA . His dad is working as GS job in Bahrain and my son is his dependent on the visa but the boy lives with me. His dad left me and he doesn't want to pay me child support. The legal office here will not talk to me because I am Romanian citizen and we are not married. He is actually married but separated for the last 7 years with another woman. What and how can I do ... what are the steps ... could I hire a lawyer here? Would it be possible to file for child support in my situation? We lived together for 7 years. Thank you in anticipation

We would like to inform you that if you have residency in Bahrain and with residence for the father of the child also, it is possible to file an alimony suit for the child in custody in accordance with Law No. 19 of 2017
By promulgating the Family Law, as the article stipulates Article (62)
A) The expense of the young boy who has no money owed him to his father until the girl marries until the son reaches the extent to which he earns his likes.
B) The expense of the eldest child who is unable to earn a disability or otherwise is owed to his father if he does not have money to spend from.
(C) The maintenance of the daughter is due to her abusive father or to any other person to whom she owes her money if she divorces or dies unless she has money to spend on.
D) If the child's money does not meet his expenses, his father commits what he completes.
E) The child must be paid for his wealthy mother if the father or grandfather loses a father or is unable to spend on him.
*** Therefore, it is possible to go to the family court and file an alimony suit for the child
Here, the alimony is estimated according to the husband's condition and provided that it is not less than the self-sufficiency limit
