There are types of seasonal employment contracts as follows:
First type: It is a contract for the employment for the employer which is three to six months and can be renewed for the same employer onlyIt is not allowed to work for another employer, otherwise it would be against the laws in Italy. This type of contracts will not allow you to travel within the European Union countries for study, work or any other purpose.
Second type:
This type is unique because you can work from nine months to a year. You can renew the contract of work and it will be considered as an immigration to Italy. It is possible to obtain Italian citizenship in case of renewal for similar periods. The renewal in the first time comes as a year, then two years, then two years, and then you will get the Italian nationality. 
In addition, it is possible to renew this contract up to ten years for the employer or any other employer who agrees to do so.
You can travel between the Schengen countries for ninety days, but you cannot work or study through this visa.
