Dear Sir/Madam, I was on quarantine for 1 week for contact with positive covid in family from 15 to 21st February 2022 and possess quarantine certificate from DOH Abu Dhabi. I was told by my company infection control to be on quarantine for additional 1 week till 28 February 22. May I know what leave category should be availed here. Annual leave, Sick leave or only quarantine leave. Awaiting your response.

We would like to inform you that if your travel is out of the country for reasons that are not compelling and then you return, the quarantine period is calculated from the annual vacation balance.

But if traveling for emergency reasons after return, the quarantine period is calculated from the balance of sick leave

I was not travelling. I was in Abu Dhabi only and had family contact with covid positive. I had then completed home quarantine programme as per DOH Abu Dhabi instructions and havd quarantine certificate issued by them. I was always covid negative. But my company extended my quarantine by another week till 28 February so total 14 days quarantine. Is this period considered Sick leave/Annual leave or Quarantine leave as per guidelines in February 22.
