"Keeping a worker's passport, with the intention of forcing him to work, fraud, control, exploitation or threat, is a crime of trafficking in persons, which carries a penalty of up to 15 years imprisonment and a fine of one million riyals".

You must therefore file a complaint against the employer for punishing him legally and obliging him to give you your passport.

A threatening complaint can also be filed against him to the Public Prosecutor's Office and the Labour Office regarding the correction of your residence status.
