Hello, good evening. I am in student visa here in Dubai, UAE. Now I am requesting my college to cancel my visa but they are asking for 1500 aed. When I enquire about it, they mentioned they have to pay for free zone charges. Is that true? Do I have to pay for that??

Visas are not subject to fees in free zones for students, and what is subject to projects in public free zones: 1- A fee of two percent (2%) of the value of goods upon entry (CIF) for storage projects and a fee of one percent (1%) of the value of goods Upon exit (FOB) for manufacturing and assembly projects, the transit trade in goods with a specified destination is exempted from the fee.
