We would like to inform you that concerning asylum to Qatar, you must submit your asylum application either through the United Nations refugee offices in the country in which you reside or directly to the Committee for Political Refugees in the Ministry of the Interior
After that, your request will be studied and the extent to which the conditions apply to you, and in the meantime, you may be granted a temporary residence permit for a period of three months, renewable for a period or other similar periods until a decision is made on
The following is the text of the law on asylum in Qatar
Article 4
A permanent committee shall be established in the Ministry, called "Committee for Political Refugees Affairs", consisting of three representatives of the Ministry, including the Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Committee and a representative of each of the following bodies:
1- Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
2. Ministry of Justice.
3. The State Security Apparatus.
4. The National Human Rights Commission.
Each of its representatives shall be elected to the membership of the Committee.
The Chairman, Vice-Chairman and members of the Committee, its working system and the manner in which its recommendations and awards are issued shall be issued a decision by the Minister.
The Secretariat of the Committee shall be appointed by one or more of the Ministry's employees.
Article 5
The competent administration shall receive requests for political asylum from the asylum seeker or his representative or through the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. The Department shall examine the request and prepare a detailed report thereon and submit it to the Committee together with its opinion.
Article 6
The Minister may, on the recommendation of the Committee, grant a political asylum seeker a temporary residence permit for a period of three months renewable for a period or other similar periods until a decision has been made on his application and issued by the Minister.
Article 7
The Committee shall decide on the applications referred to it by the competent administration and submit its recommendations to the Minister. Within three months of the recommendation of the Committee, the Minister shall issue a decision to grant the applicant the status of a political refugee or to reject the application if he is granted this status, he shall issue a residence permit and residence card proving that.
