We would like to inform you that regarding to residents of UAE, the law grants them a 30-day grace period to either amend the situation, provide new sponsorship for them and their sponsors, or leave the country. No fines shall apply during that period.
If the grace period ends and the resident exceeds 30 days, he will be fined AED 125 for the first day, and AED 25 for each subsequent day.
After six months of exceeding the stay period after the grace period and expiry of the residence, he will be fined AED 50 for each day exceeded.
There is no reduction of the fine at the present time, but the deportation may be removed by a request for mercy to be submitted to the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in the Emirate
