We would like to inform you that according to the UAE Penal Law Once a criminal complaint is submitted, the Public Prosecution will summon him and then investigate him and then initiate a criminal case against him according to the text of Article (10). A criminal case may not be filed in the following crimes except on the basis of a written or oral complaint from the victim or his legal representative: -
1- Theft, fraud, breach of trust, and concealment of items obtained from them if the victim was a spouse of the offender, or one of his ascendants or descendants, and these things were not judicially or administratively seized or encumbered by a right of another person.
2- Not handing over a young child to someone who has the right to demand it and removing it from the authority of someone who takes care of it or sponsors it.
3- Refusal to pay the alimony, custody, nursing, or housing fees imposed on him.
4- Insulting and slandering people.
5- Other crimes stipulated by law.
The complaint shall not be accepted after three months from the day the victim became aware of the crime and its perpetrator, unless the law provides otherwise.
