hi good day im from philippines working here in sharjah as housemaid. 7motnhs with this sponsor ang planning to resign for some reason. my sponsor want me to pay 5000 for visa expenses and they will return me from my agency.

Please kindly be noted, according to your inquiry, and in reference to the Domestic Workers Law, in case you wish to terminate the work, the law imposes restrictions on termination as long as the employment contract is still in force, and therefore law clarifies
Article (23)
1. Either party to the work contract terminates it unilaterally if the other party breaches its obligations stipulated in Articles (15) and (16) of this law.
2. The employer and the worker may terminate the contract. If the contract is terminated by the employer, and for a reason that does not belong to the worker, the employer is obligated to provide a ticket for the worker’s return to his country in addition to paying compensation equivalent to the comprehensive wage for a month, and any other dues to the worker owed by the employer, and any other compensation may be decided by the court.
3. If the contract was terminated by the worker and due to him after the probationary period, the worker shall bear the expenses of returning to his country, in addition to paying compensation to the employer equivalent to the comprehensive wage for a month and any other dues to the employer owed by the worker and any other compensation that the court may rule.
4. In all cases of termination of the work relationship, the Ministry has the authority to grant the worker a new work permit or not to grant it in accordance with the rules it decides in this regard, taking into account the provisions in force in the state.
Therefore, you can go to the Ministry of Labor and file a complaint against the employer in the event of a violation and prove it to him, explain the matter in detail, and request cancelling the visa
