We would like to inform you that The Qatari Labor Code allows the worker to terminate the contract without giving reasons, provided that he notifies the employer in writing and expresses his wish to do so in accordance with the notification periods set out below:
-During the first and second years of work, the notification period is one month.
-After the second year of work, the notification period is two months.
If the contract is terminated without observing this period, the person terminating the contract shall be obligated to pay the other party compensation equal to the worker's basic wage for the notice period or the remaining period thereof.
In any case, if the migrant worker leaves the country without complying with the prescribed provisions, he may not be granted a one-year work permit from the date of departure.
