I used to work in raslappan and when I came out of...
I used to work in raslappan and when I came out of raslappan I lost my gate pass and because of that I couldn't enter the gate so the company manager send me to another camp but he send email to head office that I ran away from the company and not knowing that I'm in the company or not they did the police case on me and its been more than 2 months I'm still in this company but not getting a salary not getting a work

I went to my Headoffice 2 times they said we look what can we do for you and its been so long I'm Staying but still there is no any progress on my case and I don't have money to make a call to anyone

We would like to inform you that if the company in which you are working breaks the employment contract arbitrarily and illegally Or the employer refuses to pay the worker’s salary, you may file a complaint at the Ministry of Labor in order to obtain compensation for the illegal termination of the employment contract. The Ministry of Labor will investigate the complaint and summon the employer in order to verify the validity or lack of validity of the complaint. If the Ministry of Labor could not resolve the problem amicably between the worker and the employer, it will refer the complaint to the labor court in order to issue a judicial ruling obliging the employer to pay compensation to the worker.
Here is the text of the Qatar Labor Law related to your inquiry:
Article 64:
A worker shall, before his recourse to the competent tribunal, appeal to his employer against the penalty inflicted on him within seven days of being aware of such penalty. The appeal shall be decided upon within seven days of its submission. The appeal is considered rejected if this period lapses.
In the event of rejection of an appeal or if it is not decided upon within the above period, the worker may appeal to the Department against the penalty inflicted on him with seven days of the date of rejection.
The Department shall decide on the worker's appeal within seven days of the date of the registration of the appeal. The Department's decision shall be final.
As an exception the worker may appeal against the penalty of dismissal from work to the competent court.
If the court decides that the dismissal is arbitrary or in violation of the' provisions of this law, it shall either annual the dismissal, orders the return the worker to his work and payment of his wages for the period he was not allowed to work in implementation of such penalty or payment of a suitable compensation. Such compensation shall include the wages and other benefits denied to him as a result of such dismissal.
