I have pelvic pain and abnormal vagin discharge

Treatment of the vaginal infection and pelvic inflammatory disease :

The treatment is being decided according to the cause of your symptoms after doing investigations and clinical examination and determining the cause and then the diagnosis and treatment are decided by the doctor .
The treatment also includes pain killers containing Paracetamol, non-steroidal anti inflammatory like Ibuprofen, antibiotics in case of bacterial infection and anti fungal drugs in case of fungal infection, in addition to the must of keeping this area clean and dry .

Diagnosis of vaginal infection and pelvic inflammatory disease  :

The diagnosis is made by taking full history and clinical examination of the patient and doing investigations including blood investigations like CBC, inflammatory and infection marks ESR and CRP, random and fasting blood glucose level, urine analysis, urine culture, culture for vaginal discharge, tumor markers and doing pelvic and abdominal ultrasound .

Symptoms of vaginal infection  :

- Thick vaginal discharge 

- Whitish or greenish vaginal discharge 

- bad odour of the vaginal discharge 

- itching 

- pain

- Inflammation 

-  bleeding
