Hi Good Day. I will just ask about the saudi labor law. I came here at the year 2016 and I signed contract for 2years, after that I decide to extend and I asked my employer about the new contract that I need to sign since the other contract was already done. They told me that no need more me to sign any contract and if I wish to go exit anytime I can but now they are telling me that I need to pay them because I did not finished my contract (which I did not sign) and about the plane ticket I have 1 ticket for the vacation since I wasn't able to go because of pandemic. Now they are asking me to pay them and they will not give me my ticket. I hope you can help me. Thank you.

In the event of the termination of the work contract, the employer is obliged to pay the expenses of your return to your country by correcting your residence status, booking your flight ticket and all your travel expen
Article 40:
1- The employer shall bear the fees for bringing in a non-Saudi worker, the fees for residence and work permits, their renewal and the consequences of delaying that in terms of fines, fees for changing profession, exit and return, and a ticket to return the worker to his home country after the end of the relationship between the two parties.
2- The worker shall bear the costs of returning to his country in the event that he is not fit to work or if he wishes to return without a legitimate reason.
3- The employer shall bear the fees for transferring the services of the worker who wishes to transfer his services to him.
4- The employer is obligated to pay the expenses of preparing the worker’s body and transporting it to the party where the contract was concluded or from which the worker was brought, unless he is buried with the consent of his relatives inside the Kingdom
