We would like to inform you that getting dismissal from work, after the trial period ends, we refer to the following information:
The Qatari Labor Law does not stipulate that an employer is entitled to dismiss a worker suddenly and without legal reason.
If the employer does this act, then the worker has the right to file a complaint with the Ministry of Labor against the employer for being unfairly dismissed.
If the complaint is not resolved amicably, then the complaint will be referred to the Labor Court to issue a court ruling against the employer to pay compensation to the worker.
Or returning the worker to work while paying the wage that he was deprived of throughout the term of the dismissal.
Also, the amount of compensation is due to the discretion of the judge.
Here is the text of the Qatari Labor Law related to your inquiry:
Article (64)
The worker must, before the appeal against the penalty signed before the Labor Dispute Settlement Committee, grievance to the employer within seven days from the date of his knowledge of it, and the grievance shall be decided within seven days from the date of its submission, and the lapse of this period without deciding on it shall be considered his refusal. In the event that the grievance is rejected or not decided upon within the aforementioned period, the worker shall have a grievance with the Department against the penalty imposed on him within seven days from the date of rejection.
The administration must decide on the worker's grievance within seven days from the date it was submitted to it, and its decision shall be final, and the lapse of this period without deciding on the grievance shall be deemed a refusal of him.
As an exception, the worker may appeal against the penalty of dismissal from work before the Labor Dispute Settlement Committee.
If the committee finds that the dismissal of the worker was arbitrary or contrary to the provisions of this law, it shall decide either to cancel the dismissal penalty and return the worker to work, and his entitlement to the wage for the period during which he was deprived of work in implementation of this penalty, or to compensate the worker with an appropriate compensation. The worker was deprived of her as a result of this dismissal.
