It should be noted that after reviewing your inquiry and legal scrutiny we would like to inform you that according to the French Citizenship law, your birth does not mean in India and before the declaration of independence does not mean that you have the right to obtain citizenship.
Meaning that if you were born in a French colony and before independence you will not be granted citizenship, especially if the law stipulated that you apply for citizenship to be born in France, according to specific restrictions and this is not applicable to you cannot get the nationality as the law explained the manner to get French citizenship by the following conditions:
• If you are from unknown parents. But you will be considered as if you never had French citizenship if, during your absence, your birth was determined by someone of foreign nationality and the law of your country gives you the same nationality.
• You were born in France from well-known parents who cannot give you citizenship because they are without nationality.
• You were born in France with foreign parents, and you cannot get the nationality of any of them. (If their personal laws do not allow this).
• You were born in France and one of your parents remained a foreigner, who was born in France. It does not matter whether your parents are married or not. You are a foreigner who is raised in France by foreign parents.
You can obtain French citizenship automatically at the age of 18 if you have the following conditions:
• Housing is available in France at the age of majority.
• you lived in France permanently for a continuous period of five years since the age of 11 (you can stay away from France for a maximum of two years between the ages of 11 and 18)
You can also apply voluntarily application for French citizenship before you reach the majority age
• born from foreign parents, you can declare French citizenship from the age of 16. To do so, you must make a statement to the judge of the le juge d'instance or the consular authorities of your country of origin.
• Minor son who born in France, your parents can apply for French citizenship for you from the age of 13, with your personal acceptance. During this application you must be permanently resident for at least 5 years from the age of 8 years
