HiI have been arrested by CID for two years ...
HiI have been arrested by CID for two years overstays on Abu Dhabi tourist visa. Inside the prison, I made appeal and Kafala had been granted and I have to show up before the Judge this 21 December 2021.

** But in general, if it is decided to release you on bail here and in accordance with the Federal Criminal Procedure Law
(release in misdemeanour)
The public prosecutor may decide to release any person arrested for a misdemeanor offense on bail if he so requires. The request for release on bail for misdemeanor crimes shall be submitted as follows:
1- To the public prosecutor if investigations are still ongoing before him.
2- To the court before which the defendant is being tried, if the case has been referred to trial.
3- To the court that issued the judgment or to the court of appeal, if a judgment has been issued in the case and an appeal has been submitted.
(release in felony)
A request for the release of the person charged with a criminal offense shall be submitted to the court. The public prosecutor shall present his review of the request, and the request shall be submitted as follows:
1- To the court before which the accused will be tried if the case has not yet been referred to the court
(That is, it is still in the investigation role with the Public Prosecutor).
2- To the court before which the accused is being tried, if the case was referred to it based on the accusation under investigation.
3- To the court that issued the judgment or the court competent to consider the appeal if a judgment has been issued in the case and it has been appealed.
Each person who is decided to be released must submit a guarantee or a personal pledge for the amount whose value is determined by the authority who issued the decision.
Warranty types:
1- (Notary surety) organized with the notary public to certify the ability of the guarantor and his solvency for this guarantee.
2- (A pledge deed) to be organized with the notary public to certify the guarantor’s ability and financial solvency.
3- (Cash security): It is a sum of money deposited in the court fund as a security instead of a surety.
The public prosecutor to whom the request for release on bail was submitted may decide the release, reject it, or reconsider his previous decision as the case may be.
Appealing a release order:
The decision issued by the public prosecutor (to release the defendant, refuse to release him, or leave him free) may be appealed.
This is as follows:
1- If the public prosecutor decides to refuse to release the defendant, the appeal shall be submitted to the Court of First Instance within three days from the date on which the defendant was notified.
2- If the public prosecutor decides to release the defendant or leave him free without arrest, the request shall be submitted by the attorney general to the court of first instance within three days from the arrival of the papers to his pen for viewing.
