Firstly, filing a complaint with the police will not benefit you, so you must file a human rights lawsuit in front of the UAE judiciary requesting the termination of the contract due to a defect in the sale (vehicle) and refunding the amounts paid. Then the court will send an expert to examine the vehicle and prove the defect, and then decide to terminate the contract and refund the amounts paid:
Article 544 of the Civil Transactions Law
1- If an old defect appears in the sale, the buyer has the choice, if he wishes to return it, and if he wants before it with the named price, and he has no right to hold it and claim what the defect has reduced from the price.
2- The defect is considered old if it was present in the item before the sale or it occurred after it and it is in the hands of the seller before delivery.
3- The defect occurring with the buyer shall be considered by virtue of the old ruling if it is based on an old reason present in the sale with the seller.
4- The old defect is required to be hidden, and the hidden defect is the one who is not known to see the apparent appearance of the sale, or the ordinary person does not discover it, or does not reveal it without an expert, or does not appear except by experience.
