Hi good morning, I wanted to ask about my situation,I don't know much about the labour law, I wish to not renew my employment next year which is soon to expire at 4 of January,,the current sponsor wants me to pay a certain amount, I will finish the visa contract written on my papers, and they ask me to find a new sponsor which is I have a feeling they will ask the money.

We would like to inform you that according to the UAE Labor Law, if your contract is limited and you filed resignation then the employer may ban you by filing absconding report against you in the labor office. So we advise you to complete the contract as below article states:
Article (116):
Where a contract is revoked by the worker for reasons other than those stipulated in Article (121), he shall be required to compensate the employer for any damage the latter sustains as a result, provided that the amount of compensation shall not exceed half a month wage for three months or for the remaining period of the contract, whichever is shorter, unless otherwise stipulated in the contract.
So if you want to terminate the contract then you will be forced to pay the visa expenses, then the sponsor will ban you and you will be forced to leave the country.

I'm a domestic worker sir, and my visa will finished the coming January 4,,I do not wish to renew it with them,,do I still need to pay them them??if they cancel my visa not yet on the right designated time do i still need to pay them? as they are asking me an amount of 8,500.

With the end of the work contract and the lack of desire to renew the contract, the employer can be notified of their unwillingness to renew, and they are not entitled to demand any money from you at the end of the contract.
