The annual leave period shall be 21 days with full pay for those who have spent a full year in service, increased to thirty days when the worker has spent ten years in service with an employer or more. Days of festive holidays, official occasions and weekly rest.
If the worker’s service period is less than one year, he is entitled to a leave in proportion to the period he spent at work, provided that he has spent six months in the service of the employer.
In all cases, the annual leave period shall be increased by seven days for workers who work in difficult, dangerous or harmful work or in remote areas, which are determined by a decision of the competent minister after taking the opinion of the concerned authorities.
Subject to the provisions of the second paragraph of Article (48) of this law, the worker may not waive his leave.
A worker who has spent five consecutive years in the service of the employer has the right to a leave with full pay for a period of one month to perform the pilgrimage or visit Jerusalem, and this leave shall be only once throughout his service period.
