Usually, only the sponsor or whoever he delegates on his behalf (such as a representative in the case of companies) is authorized to proceed with the procedures for canceling the residence visas that he sponsored, and the sponsored person himself cannot proceed with the application without permission and the signature of the sponsor.
In the event that the company decides to cancel the employee’s work residency visa, it must first refer to the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation with a request to cancel the work contract and the employee’s work card.
