We would like to inform you the employer does not have the right to delay the housekeeper salary. As the employer has to pay for the worker during the first 7 days after the end of the month in local currency.
This is in accordance with the provisions of the Minister of Manpower Resolution No. 189 of 2004, as follows:
Article (5): The employment contract must include the following obligations of the recruiter:
1- The employee shall be paid a monthly wage in the national currency, within seven days from the end of each month, or from the end of the period for which he is entitled to a wage.
2- Providing adequate food and housing whenever the nature of work so requires, as well as local medical treatment free of charge for the user throughout the contract term.
3- Notifying the competent department of the Ministry in the event of the employee’s service termination or his escape, and in case of escape, the prescribed procedures must be taken in this regard.
