My son received his mmrv vaccines on August 10th and started having rashes on day 10 (Aug20). He is having rashes all over his body today which is day 7. Day 3 and 4 were the peak we think as on day 5 the rashes were not as red as day 3 and 4 but from day 5 to day 7 new rashes started appearing on his face, side of the face, and back of the ears. Tonight is the start of the weekend and Friday (day 8) is the weekend so we can only take our baby back to his doctor on Saturday (day 9) morning. What do you think doctor? As recommended by his doctor, we have been giving him zyrtec 2.5ml every 12 hours and calamine lotion to help him with itchiness. He has no other signs and symptoms except for the rashes.

How to treat rash allover the baby body
it may be caused by allergy from vaccin and this can be treated by using antihistamin like zyrtec and in severe cases of allergy the baby should be treated in the hospital and given hydrocortisone and diphenhydramine , other possible cause of this rash is heat rash which can be treated using calamine lotion and avoiding exposure to hot and humid environment
How to diagnose the presence of rash allover the baby body
the baby should be assessed by the physician to assess the nature of the presenting rash and RAST test could be done to diagnose the cause of the presenting rash and if there is suspicion of viral infection like chicken pox then PCR could be done
