1. Book an appointment to issue a passport
 A role must be reserved at the Population and Immigration Authority office. Preference will be given to receiving the service to those who book a role. For the purpose of booking a role, you must fill out a role reservation form and choose the office according to your will. Population and Immigration Authority offices receive public reviews from all over the country. Attention: in the offices of Modi'in, Ma'ale Adumim and Nahariya, only local residents' reviews are accepted.
2. Fill out the application form
The form is filled out at the Population and Immigration Authority office. You can fill out the form in writing. For this purpose, the form must be downloaded to the computer, printed and filled out in writing. After filling, the form must be submitted at the office.
3. Fee Payment
This service can be prepaid online with a credit card. It is recommended to look at the pricing table.
Paying the fees for this service online is less than the fees at the Population and Immigration Authority office.
You can also pay the fees at the Population and Immigration Authority offices with a credit card only. Personal attendance of the credit card holder is mandatory. It is also possible at self-service sites across the country.
4. Go to the Population and Immigration Authority office
After paying the fees or printing the application form, you are asked to go to the Population and Immigration Authority office at the time you specified.
In order to obtain biometric authentication, facial features will be photographed, fingerprints will be scanned and personal data will be handed over. You will also be asked to sign consent to keep your fingerprints in the biometric repository.
Upon submission of the application, the current passport will be canceled. If you are expected to travel abroad within 3 weeks from the day of application and your passport is valid for less than a year, please inform the staff at the department. After returning to the country, they must go to the Population and Immigration Authority and hand in the old passport.
5. Obtaining a passport
The passport will be sent to the applicant's home in approximately 3 weeks.
After a few days, you will receive a short text message (SMS) via the application that enables you to follow up on the passport until it is transferred to the postal authority for transmission. After the passport is transferred to the postal authority, you will receive another SMS with a tracking code and a link to inquire about the whereabouts of the passport after it has been sent.
If the passport was not collected from the local post office, it will be returned to the Population and Immigration Authority office where the application was submitted.
