I am an Egyptian American citizen and I was on vacation to Egypt on October 2020 and I was 6 months pregnant, but i gave birth earlier than planned in Egypt in an emergency c-section. I was planning to go back to the states by December 30th to give birth on January. I applied for CRBA with the US Embassy in Cairo as soon as the child was born. Now I have been stuck in Egypt for almost 7 months with little or no answer from the embassy’s side except telling me that they are not scheduling any non-emergency appointments because of Coronavirus . I am trying to go back to the US for a job opportunity and I have exhausted all my financial sources. Is there anyway I can get a lawyer to help me to expedite the process and help my child to get CRBA and get her passport? Or if there is anyway I can apply for a regular visa for her and go on with the citizenship in the US?
