We would like to inform you that civil marriage in Turkey is done through the marriage registry office which is located in the Turkish municipalities.
The required documents are:
-A civil registration or what is called bachelorhood paper or a document proving marital status.
-Birth certificate.
- A medical document approved by one of the governmental medical institutions in Turkey, proving that the individual is free of physical and mental illnesses.
- If one of the parties to the marriage is less than 18 years old, a letter of consent of the legal guardian is required to conduct the marriage.
- A document proving residence in Turkey.
-The cost of completing the marriage transaction in Turkey:
-The average costs of translating and legalizing documents, marriage book, etc. to complete a marriage transaction is about $500.
