Please kindly note that according to the data received by us in your inquiry and with reference to the Bahraini Family Law No. 34 of 2005 regarding alimony, it does not have a specific amount, but rather it is left to be estimated according to the husband’s left, provided that it is not less than the self-sufficiency limit of the one who spends on them. Article (46)
Alimony is one of the rights of the spender, and it includes food, clothing, housing, and the related treatment, service, and other things that are required by custom.
Article (47)
a) The alimony is estimated by looking at the spending of the spender and the condition of the spender, taking into account the time, place and customs
b) Subject to the provision of the previous paragraph, alimony may be increased or decreased by changing the condition of the spender or the person on whom he is supported.
Article (48)
a) A case for increasing or decreasing alimony shall not be heard before the lapse of one year from the imposition of alimony by a final judgment, except in exceptional circumstances.
b) The increase or decrease of alimony shall be calculated from the date of establishing the right after the judicial claim.
