treatment:
- ringworm is a fungal infection that may affect varoius areas of the skin such as the foot, the scalp , and the body and it cause red itchy circular rash ,it mainly spread through direct contact with the infected person or animal .usually its enough to use topical antifungal drugs such as clomtrimazole or terbinafine by applying thin layer of these creams on the affected area 2-3 times per day along with Griseofulvin orally
diagnosis :
- based mainly on the physical examination of the infected areas ,and taking a skin biobsy and examine it under the microscope.
symptoms :
- scaly and itching ring-shaped areas
- clear area inside the ring
- red bubms
- raised red rings
risk factors:
- hot weather
- sharing personal items
- contact sports
- tight clothing
advice:
- use the drugs mentoined above and avoid contact with infected persons
