Hello doctor, i suffer from idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura for reasons unknown .. I quit alcohol since one year, Does alcohol have anything to do with my disease? i was wondering if i can have some wine in the new year's..

ITP or immune thrombocytic purpura is a disorder in which there's
a destruction of platelets by antibodies resulting in brusing and
bleeding which my be life threating in the number of platelets was
too low .
The ITP patient should avoid excessive intake of alcohol as it may
affect the clotting ability of blood resulting in further bleeding
but there's no problem in limmiting intake of alcohol .
