We would like to inform you that a worker may not leave work suddenly without the employer's knowledge. As Palestinian Labor Law has confirmed the cases in which one of them may be met, the employment contract ma be terminated:
1- Either party to an indefinite employment contract may terminate it by virtue of a notification sent with acknowledgment of arrival to the other party a month before the termination of work.
2- A worker who received a notice from the employer to terminate the work contract is entitled to be absent from work for the second half for the sake of notice, and his absence is considered actual work in the establishment.
3- It is considered arbitrary to terminate the employment contract without the existence of justifiable reasons.
An individual employment contract ends in any of the following cases:
1- With the agreement of the two parties.
2- With the expiration of its period of occasional, temporary or seasonal work.
3- Upon the desire of one of the parties during the period of probation.
4- Based on the worker's desire, provided that the employer is notified in writing before leaving:
A- For a month if he is paid on a monthly basis.
B - By a week if he is paid on a daily or weekly basis, by piece, or by commission.
5- If the worker dies, suffers from a disease or is incapacitated, which has prevented him from working for a period of more than six months, based on a medical report issued by the medical committee, with the absence of a vacant position that suits his professional capabilities and his new health status.
