What's the basic pay of a house maid in UAE.

We would like to inform you that the UAE Labor Law stipulates that the worker shall have 12 hours of rest per day, at eight hours continuously. In other words, the employer can make the employee works for a period of twelve hours a day. And the employer must pay the worker his salary stipulated in the employment contract and if the employer has not done this, the worker may file a complaint at the Ministry of Human Resources.

There is no specific legal text for the salaries of the domestic help, but on average the salary of a worker is not less than two thousand dirhams

Article (12)

1. The worker shall have the right to a weekly rest day at a comprehensive wage in accordance with the executive regulations of this law. He may be employed on his weekly rest day, in which case he shall have the right to an alternative day of rest or a cash allowance instead of equivalent to the comprehensive wage for that day.

2. The executive regulations of this Law shall regulate working and rest times so that the daily comfort of the worker shall not be less than twelve hours per day, provided that at least eight continuous hours
