Hello, my employer has sent me on unpaid leave out...
Hello, my employer has sent me on unpaid leave out of uae for unspecified period. They paid 50% of salary for that period when I was on leave. Now they have terminated my contract and deducted the leave pay from my settlement. Can they do this, or can I fight for that amount to be paid to me. They paid me 3 months compensation and balance leave pay. I work in dafza

We would like to inform you that if you got unpaid leave outside UAE, and the employer paid 50% of your salary and deduct it from the settlement after terminating your contract, then the unpaid leave can't be paid, and the amount that the employer cut from your settlement is not dues to you and the employer has the right to do so.
According to the Labor Law states:
Article 135
The employer can cut any amount from the end of services that dues from the worker.
