i am a partner 5% in a medical centre and they put...
i am a partner 5% in a medical centre and they put me as manager in it.I have no authority including cheque sighning. Now the other partner absconded and the clinic is closed .Realestate has put a case against me .what is my liability?

In regards of your responsibility in this issue, you have to differentiate between two matters as a partner as follows:
1) If you are a joint partner, the responsibility lies entirely on you
2) If you are a non-joint partner, you are only responsible for 5%
Article 39 of the Companies' Law stipulates that,
A joint company is a company that consists of two or more partners as natural persons who are personally and jointly liable with all their funds on the company's obligations
