Salam- I had lost my job in March 2020 due to a bank merger along with almost 800 other staff. We were told that the visa will be valid till 31/12/2020. Now, they are asking me to cancel my visa or they will report an absconding case. Unfortunately,I have not been able to get a new job due to COVID and market conditions. Also, there is a cheque bounce case against my name for an auto loan where I have to pay a fine of AED 10000. I cannot cancel the visa without paying the dine and closing the case. What should I do?I have sent an email to my employer already and have told them of this situation but they have not replied till now.
