We would like to inform you that if the landlord has filed a lawsuit against you, here is the following information:
The landlord and tenant shall fully comply with the terms of the lease contract. In addition, the tenant shall pay the rental amount on the date specified and agreed upon in the lease contract. Accordingly, you shall pay the amount that you did not pay, and you shall provide the judge with the documents proving that you have paid half of the rent which the landlord demands from you.

he is only demanding the the payment which is not paid . I am a UAE national so the government paid more then 50% of my Rent. I have a hearing on 3rd Jan on web cam with sharjah muncipilty
