We would like to inform that it is now temporarily paused that the certificate of good conduct being a major requirement in applying for work permits from April 2018 until further notice.
In line with the Ministerial Resolution 8/1 of the year 2017, foreigners including domestic workers planning to work in the UAE were needed to present a ‘Certificate of Good Conduct’ from their home countries, or the country of their residence for the past five years to prove that they do not have a criminal record. However, as of 1 April 2018, the certificate of good conduct is not needed until further notice.
This requirement is limited to newcomers who come for work, and does not include family members who depend on them, nor does it include visitors for the purpose of visiting or tourism.
This expatriate who was born and raised in the UAE and lived there continuously is exempted from this requirement.
This certificate must be presented when applying for a permit and work visa at the Ministry of Human Resources and Settlement and the General Directorate for Residency and Foreigners Affairs in the State.
Note: stop working by making a good conduct certificate a major requirement in applying for work permits from April 2018 until further notice.
The Ministry of the Interior has invited individuals who want to obtain a criminal status certificate or a certificate of good conduct to benefit from the smart services provided through the Ministry's website: www.moi.gov.ae and its applications on smart phones in the UAE.
Obtaining a certificate requires the availability of an Emirati ID card for citizens and residents, and ensuring that the fingerprint of legal age clients (18 years and above)
