Please note that if you have lost your passport in UAE,

Please consider to lodge a complaint and obtain a letter from the police station

This letter is addressed to the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigner's Affairs (GDRFA).

You should approach the GDRFA that will stamp the police letter. They will provide you with a printout of your visa status.

A 'lost passport' certificate will be issued to make you eligible to get a new passport.

Once the certificate is secured, contact the foreign consulate in Dubai or any other emirate and apply for a new passport.

Upon issuance of the new passport, you should go back to the GDRFA to stamp a visa on it.
