I lost my I'd card and I want to renew my passport

If you have lost your Emirates ID card you must request a replacement of Emirates ID card from Federal Authority for Citizenship and Identity (ICA).

Here are the steps to get an Emirates ID card replaced: 

Report the incident

bring along your identification papers to prove your identity:

• UAE nationals must bring in an original valid passport and a family book.
• GCC nationals must provide a document proving their residency in the UAE.
• Expatriate residents must bring their original passport stamped with a valid residency permit.

After reporting the incident, fill in an application form at any of ICA’s Customer Centres or fill it through the eForm - ICA website and request replacement of ID card.

You’ll need to pay AED 300 for replacement of a lost or damaged ID

You will receive a text message from ICA about the status of the submitted application and the expected delivery date.

However, regarding to your inquiry about the Passport Renewal, you will need to check with the Embassy for jurisdiction as well as submit the following documents regarding the renewal of the passport or the issuance of a new copy.

1- Passport and photocopy of the passport to be renewed

2- Residence

3- Birth certificate

4- Identity Card and a copy thereof

5 - A copy of the educational qualifications certified to register the profession on the passport
