Hello, I am look for some legal advise. We have recently purchased a property and had agreed with the previous owner that he could stay an additional 2 week post completion. We had this included in the MOU. He is due to vacate this Saturday but has not told the agent he can’t and wants another week! We have said no but he’s pushing back.

Hello, thanks your reply. He’s asking for an extra week. If we were to consider this should we have the agent or a lawyer draw up a formal letter giving him that extra week what’s the best option? And can we insist he pays us for the time he’s at the property (not a rental agreement) to cover the cost of our mortgage which is now active?
